Headed South on the IH35 access road towards 290/E Koenig Lane.
Turn right at Jerry's Artorama. First right is Clayton Lane. Turn Right- it comes quick.
Stop sign is Middle Fiskville Road. Stay Straight on Clayton, and the parking lot
entrance is on the left.
If you miss Clayton, turn right on Middle Fiskville at the Greyhound Bus Station.
Left on Clayton at the stop sign to the parking lot.

This building is not located at the former Highland Mall. It is next to the Holiday Inn.

Austin ROSC Region 7 Vacancy

The Texas Recovery Advisory Workgroup (TRAW)  currently has vacancies
due to terms ending and/or members' inability to continue participation
in Region 7.

Individuals interested
in applying for the vacant slot available in their region must:
 
1.       Complete a membership application
2.       Inform their local ROSC Collaborative of their interest
3.       Present their interest during their ROSC meeting to

represent their region
4.       ROSC membership will select the individual to represent

their region (area)
5.       ROSC Chair or Co-Chair will submit the applicant’s completed

application via this email address:

 The TRAW is a sub-committee of the Texas Recovery Initiative created to provide input 
and information used to help HHSC-Substance Use Disorders Unit shape recovery in Texas.

Austin Area Opioid Work Group

The Opioid Work Group's mission will be to bring together the
recovery community  to identify gaps in service, best practices,
needed and existing resources, and whatever  else the group
sees fit to assist the population that has history or presently suffers
from opioid dependency.  This group will welcome and include
those that work with Medically Assisted Recovery Services
as well as the Harm Reduction community.

Austin Recovery Family Support Group

Austin Recovery offers a one hour weekly Family Support Group to assist

family members in their own process of healing.  It is not necessary
for a loved one to be in treatment at Austin Recovery
to participate in the family support group.

Goals of the program include:
*Help each member of a client's family acquire knowledge
about chemical dependency issues
*Gain understanding of how he/she has been personally affected
by this disease
*Learn new skills to cope with the dysfunction
created by addiction
*Develop support with other families in the same/similar situations

​Integral Care

...is now offering weekly Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) classes in
Austin and Georgetown.

MHFA is a one-day training that teaches people how to
help someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis
or is showing signs of mental illness or substance use disorder. 
Thanks to a grant from the St. David’s Foundation, no one will be turned away.
 However, a donation of $10 is welcome.
